Most Popular Online Sports Betting Sites
My favourite, and very popular, sports betting sites are
- William Hill: Aussie punters love William Hill which was the first online sports betting site I joined. If you haven’t joined yet why not take advantage of their 700FreeBet_link! Note that exclusions apply? You can read my William Hill review here.
- Sportsbet: These guys are fast becoming one of my favourite online sports betting sites. One of the reasons for that is because of their MultiBet Cash Out feature. You can read my Sportsbet review here.
- Bet365: Is another very popular online sports betting site. They’ve been around for years and are the third online sports betting site in my sports betting arsenal. They’re so good they even have their very own page on this site which has a link to my Bet365 review.
Unlike other sites that just link to sports betting sites with no personal experience, I’ve actually joined these sites and use them on a weekly basis to place my online sports bets. You’ll find the proof of these online bets in my posts as I show my readers the ins and outs of online sports betting.
What a great start to the 2017 AFL season. Sure there were some upsets but that’s the name of the game when it comes to any form of sports betting. You win some and you lose some. I know that, as long as I win more than I lose and I enjoy the extra thrill the bet puts on the game then it’s all good. Check out my last post to see the results of the round 1 tipping. Now it’s time to check out Fortuna’s AFL round 2 2017 tips.

For those of you not familiar with the site all the tips are highlighted in red. Once we have the AFL Round 2 2017 Tips handy we take a look to see who’s offering the best odds.
OK, we have our AFL Round 2 2017 Tips at hand and we also have the odds offered by my favourite online sports betting sites. Next thing to consider before placing a bet is whether or not there are any specials being offered by those sites. William Hill has their “Get up to $50 back in bonus bets if your team loses by 32 points or less” deal. That was very tempting until I noticed it excluded SA, WA & NSW residents! Man, that really sucks.
Sportsbet had their Power Play option. Hitting the Power Play button gives you even better odds.
Couldn’t find any applicable promotions on Bet365.
In the end I decided to go with Sportsbet because I had the most money with them. I went with a multibet because multi-bets have a better payout than your everyday head to head bet. You can read all about multi-bets here.
You can see my actual multi-bet over there on the right. A $10 outlay will net me $41.72 if I win.
I’d love to hear of any bets that you’re placing.
EDIT: Million Dollar Tipping: Shit!! I forgot all about the Sportsbet Million Dollar Tipping competition. I forgot about it last week and I almost forgot about it this week. Luckily I remembered and I entered my NRL and AFL tips giving me two chances of winning $10,000! Man, wouldn’t it be great to actually win both? Don’t forget to enter your Million Dollar Tipping AFL tips!
Before getting to the AFL Round 1 2017 results I wanna congratulate the Crows women for winning the AFLW Grand final. They’ve done us proud and now it’s up to the guys to follow their great example. Check this article to see a great photo of Erin Philips with her kids in the grand finals cup. Great shot. Check out this post to see her inauguration into the Hot Sports Babe Hall Of Fame.
Now for Fortuna’s AFL Round 1 2017 Results!
Fortuna’s AFL Round 1 2017 Results
Considering it was the first round I reckon those results were pretty good. There were definitely some upsets in the AFL Round 1 2017 Results. Take the Essendon vs Hawthorn game for example. I don’t think too many people would have picked Essendon to win. Shit, even the Gold Coast vs Brisbane game can be considered an upset. Have to admit though, those punters that backed Brisbane using William Hill as their online bookie would have been pretty wrapped with their winnings with William Hill’s $3.55 odds!!
Speaking of another great win, how good were the Adelaide Crows? Good enough to make my first bet of the AFL season a winning bet, that’s how good they were. Lucky too, otherwise those Power fans, another upset if you ask me, would have given us heaps. As it was I reckon it was great that both South Aussie teams managed a great win to start off their 2017 AFL season.
As far as news articles go on the AFL round 1 upsets I reckon that news.co.au was the best with their Incredible Night Of Comebacks article.
As for the Adelaide Crows game, Fox Sports said that the Crows produced the best performance of round one! Not bad considering they the preseason flag favourites.
All in all I say it was a pretty good start to the 2017 AFL season.
Just to finish off I give your a great shot of the 2017 AFLW Premiers.
