It’s time to work out whether or not I should be placing a bet this week. Naturally, the best way to do that is to ask Lady Luck. You can read all about how to utilise Lady Luck by reading this post.
Lady Luck pointed to Sportsbet and seeing as how I am a Sportsbet member I have her approval for placing a bet this week. The question now is where to place the bet.
I figured as how I’ve been pretty lucky with the soccer of late that I would place a wager on the Adelaide United vs Western Sydney Wanderers.
Once again, again because they’ve been lucky for me, I decided to use Bet365 to place my bet. Keeping with my responsible gambling rules I kept to the $10 betting limit.
Adelaide United vs Western Sydney Wanderers
At $1.75 Adelaide is the definite favourite and being a loyal South Aussie I decided to back them. As you can see from the image above I’ve decided to make things a little more interesting. Rather than placing the full $10 on the win I thought I’d split things up a little. So I placed $8 on a win. One dollar on a 2-0 win, which pays $8 and One dollar on 3-0 win which pays $13!
Soccer being what it is you can never, ever rely on the result going the way you would expect it to. A lot more so that any AFL match. Even though you would expect Adelaide to win it could just as easily be a draw. Heck, Western Sydney United could even do the unthinkable and win the darn thing.
No matter, one thing I do know is that placing that bet will make the Adelaide United vs Western Sydney Wanderers much more interesting. If I didn’t place a bet I wouldn’t have bothered to watch the match. Have to admit though, the more soccer games I watch the more I’m getting to like it.
