Funny Sports News

A while back I did a video called Only In Australia which, amongst other things, showed a bunch of kangaroos invading a golf course. Producing that video caused me to wonder whether or not there was some other Funny Sports News that could interest my readers.

Funny Sports News Soccer Loving Kangaroo

In June of last year, a soccer-loving kangaroo invaded a game between Canberra FC and Belconnen United. I took a screenshot from the ABC video footage.

Funny sports news

As you can see from the image above he found the game very relaxing. The game was halted for about a half an hour before the roo removed himself.

At the time, according to the ABC, “

Considering how the roo’s antics made headlines around the world after the video went viral I don’t know how I missed it?

A couple of other of my videos include Perfectly Timed Photos of Sportswomen and Frozen Moments in Women’s Sport. Since then I’ve come across a brilliant news article entitled 30 Best Funny Moments In Sports. My personal favourite is the one where Michael Llodra of France falls against a ball girl during his match against Tommy Haas of Germany. Check out the astonished look on that poor ball girl’s face. It’s pretty damn funny.

Weird World Of Sport Bull Kung Fu Fighting

Yep, this 24-year-old Chinese bullfighter uses his kung fu skill against a bull, five times his weight. You can watch him fighting a bull in this video. If you don’t find that video funny, you should check out some of the comments.

You will notice in the comments that some of them are saying that he is twisting the bull’s nose ring to get him on the ground? I could not see that in the video. To me, it seems he has his arms around his neck. Either way, I’m sure most people would think he’s a cruel ass jerk!

Aussie Bad Boys’ Tennis Showdown

Speaking of tennis showdowns I reckon the Aussie bad boys’ tennis showdown is certainly not one to miss. Not into tennis? Who are we referring to as the Aussie bad boys’ tennis showdown? Who else but Nick Kyrgios and Bernard Tomic.

Kyrgios Tomic Aussie Bad Boys Tennis Showdown

Aussie Bad Boys' Tennis Showdown

In this article Bernard Tomic has a swipe at Nick Kyrgios and the Australian Open for using Dunlop Balls. In this articlethe Australian Open feel their decision to use Dunlop balls is the best possible for all players. I reckon only time will tell.

Kyrgios, well known for losing his cool on the court shows he’s more diplomatic than Tomic in the media. Only 5 hours ago the News.com.au reported Kyrgios as saying there was no bad blood between them.

One has to wonder if this banter before the game is just like the banter we see between boxing opponents. Especially considering this particular quote in the aforementioned article.

Unknown to most, though, Kyrgios and Tomic have since buried the hatchet and practised together at grand slams.
Kyrgios said the spicy build-up to the pair’s first-ever clash was “just typical media doing their thing”.
“I’m looking forward to seeing him and catching up with him and playing against him,” Kyrgios said.
“We’re fine. I don’t have any bad blood with him at all. It’s another chance to get some preparation before the Oz Open.

The Kooyong Classic is days away, so there’s not long to wait for the clash of the Aussie bad boys. No matter who wins I’m sure there’s going to be some fireworks. If there isn’t I reckon there will be some who will be disappointed. But then, as long as both bad boys give it their all most tennis fans will be more than satisfied, fireworks or not.

Formula 1 Bans Grid Girls

Have you heard the latest? Formula 1 bans grid girls! They were discussing it last year and ever since F1 fans have been waiting with baited breath. Today the F1 morons have decided to can all the grid girls. I’ve found the best article on “Formula 1 bans grid girls” was written by the BBC.

Before I begin my rant, I want to show you a little video put together on the Formula 1 bans grid girls debacle.

My View On Formula 1 Bans Grid Girls

Formula 1 Bans Grid GirlsBefore I give my opinion on the Formula 1 banning the grid girls I’m going to tell you why they’re doing it. It’s Sean Batch’s opinion that; “While the practice of employing grid girls has been a staple of Formula 1 Grand Prix for decades, we feel this custom does not resonate with our brand values and clearly is at odds with modern-day societal norms!”

He then goes on to say; “We don’t believe the practice is appropriate or relevant to Formula 1 and its fans, old and new, across the world.”

Honestly, Sean? You believe the fans don’t want to see the grid girls? Your Red Bull driver, Daniel Ricciardo would like them to stay!

In the article, I linked to above, “In December, BBC Sport carried out a vote on whether ‘grid girls’ should be part of Formula 1, with 60% saying that they should be.” Whatever happened to giving the majority what they want? Instead, they have to bow down to the do-gooders and feminists!

What about the grid girls themselves? I’ve posted a tweet from Lauren Jade, a now former grid girl, who thinks the world has gone bonkers!

I’m sure that a lot of the other grid girls would agree with her.

We’ve now lost sexy women in the Clipsal 500, the Formula 1 and in Professional darts. What next? The UFC, wrestling? Where will it end. Thankfully I’ve already written a post on grid girls and those lovely walk-on darts babes. At this rate, I may have to can my hot sports babes posts. :tongue_out: Just kidding, that is never going to happen. :drunk:

Honestly, what do you think of their decision?
