AFL Round 19 2017 Results

The AFL round 19 2017 results are in, and whilst it still falls short of the round 18 results, it was still better. What pisses me off about the AFL round 19 2017 results, which you can see below,

AFL Round 19 2017 Results
As you know I always enter Sportsbet’s Million Dollar Tipping competition so I have a chance at winning $5,000. Well, it sort of sucks all the excitement out of it when you get the first of your tips wrong.

I don’t know about you but I call that first round of the AFL round 19 results an upset. Sure as hell didn’t think that Hawthorn would put off a win. But win they did. Not by much mind you, but a win is a win and the ABC reckon it keeps Hawthorn finals hopes alive. I don’t know if I would go that far because they’ve been all over the place this season.

Then there was the embarrassing moment when Port Power supporters gave up on their club and started leaving the grounds early. As Michelangelo Rucci stated, ‘You should always stay until the end of the siren’. Wankers, they missed the best part of the whole game, coming off with a win.

And then there was that insane Collingwood vs Adelaide Crows game. Collingwood is now the eighth team to lose a game after leading by 50 points in the third quarter. Oh well, at least Sportsbet punters who backed Collingwood came off with a win. I’m talking about their promotion where you automatically win when your team leads by 24 points, even if they lose. How cool is that?

It’s good to see the Crows on top of the ladder. Hopefully they can maintain that position giving them a good shot at the finals.

Last week was a losing bet week for me. I’m hoping I can turn that around in round 20.

AFL Round 11 Results 2017

What can I say but I expected more from Fortuna’s AFL round 11 results 2017! Why don’t we have a look at the AFL round 11 results 2017 before I go discussing them.

Fortuna’s AFL Round 11 Results 2017

AFL round 11 results 2017As you can see the mighty Adelaide Crows weren’t so bloody hot in the AFL round 11 results 2017. I have to admit that I was a bit apprehensive in including them in my tips but I honestly thought they would break the 14 year hoodoo of playing at Simonds stadium. Alas, they played like shit and let fans and punters alike down. The problem as I saw it was that they weren’t playing as a cohesive team. Not everyone was putting 100% in and at this stage of the game if you want to win you have to put in 110%!!

Chris McDermott said it best when he said The Crows Had Too Many Passengers! Unfortunately for us Geelong did that and they won the game.

Then it was the Gold Coast vs Coast game. You can tell from the odds in that game that even the punters thought that the Eagles should have won that game. Unfortunately they lost and Fortuna struck out again in her tips. The AFL site reckons there 5 Talking Points about that game.

Finally, the last of the losing games was the Fremantle vs Collingwood game. That was a home game for the Dockers and should have been a win under their belt. What happened? Did Collingwood play that well or did the Dockers under perform and gave away a win? According to the ABC headlines the Dockers put on a Horrific Display. They go on to say though that Collingwood put on a “gutsy” effort. Maybe it was one of those games where the Dockers thought they had an easy win and just weren’t prepared for a switched on Collingwood.

So, what does all this teach us? That you just never know when it comes to sports betting and enforces why we should always gamble responsibly. Losing bets suck :bash:

Fortuna's AFL Round 7 2016 Results

Once again Fortuna got 6 of the 9 matches in her AFL Round 7 2016 Results. Unfortunately for me I lost my Multi_Bet with Sportsbet getting 3 of the 5 legs wrong. You can see my multi-bet picks here. Yep, I picked all of Fortuna’s wrong picks. How bad is that  :bash:  Oh well there’s always next week.

So far this season Fortuna’s running total stands at 45 which i reckon is pretty darn good!

Let’s have a quick look at the failures in Fortuna’s AFL Round 7 2016 Results.

Collingwood vs Carlton Fiasco

This is one of those matches where I was sure Collingwood would beat Carlton. Looking at the odds I reckon a lot of punters thought the same way about it too. As it turns out it went Carlton’s way and Collingwood was left licking their wounds.

Gold Coast vs Melbourne

Perhaps I shouldn’t have picked this game because it was one of those matches that could have gone either way. The Age had a pretty good review of the match likening the Suns going missing in the Bermuda Triangle.

Western Bulldogs vs Adelaide Crows

This is the game that really pissed me off. By then it’s not like it cost me the bet or anything. :dunno: According to the Age it “The two most telling figures were 37-68 for inside 50s and a mystifying 11-28 for free kicks. For me it was the Umpires lack of being fair with the free kicks that caused the Crows to lose that game. It’s not so much all the free kicks they awarded the Dogs, some which were absolute bullshit, as the ones that were not rightfully awarded to the Crows.

I’m not the only one that’s unhappy with the free kick situation either. Don Pyke, the Crows coach, was upset enough to ask for an official please explain from AFL headquarters.

I’m proud of the way the boys played that day. It must have been demoralising to have so many free kicks awarded against them and so few paid that they knew were there. Even so they kept at it making the Bulldogs and the Blind umpires work for their keep.
