MultiBet Tipping Strategy

MultiBet tipping strategyI’ve been playing around with MultiBets for a couple of weeks now and there are a couple of things that I have found out. The first thing is that I love MultiBets. The other thing is that I need some sort of MultiBet tipping strategy!

MultiBet Tipping Strategy Isn’t Easy

Truth be told though that no matter what anyone will tell you coming up with a winning MultiBet strategy would be next to impossible. Take the last MultiBet that I placed with Sportsbet last week. My MultiBet tipping strategy for that bet was to pick what I thought were sure winners for the first few bets so that I could ‘Cash Out‘ if things started to look sour. That’s why I tipped Western Bulldogs, Sydney, Fremantle, Hawthorn, the Crows and Carlton. I figured at least the first five would come in and I would be able to cash out with Carlton if they looked like losing. As it was the Western Bulldogs lost, who would have thunk it, and I lost another MultiBet.

That’s the trouble with betting on sports, any type of sport, no bet can ever be a sure thing.

That’s why I use my online sports bets to enhance my sports watching experience. That’s why I’m so glad I discovered Multi Bets.

As you all know I’m all about responsible gambling. That’s why I only ever bet $10 per week on any given sport. The trouble with that is I don’t get that extra kick from watching some of those other games. Those Multi-Bets make those extra games more exciting without upsetting my responsible gambling rules. Now I can enhance the enjoyment factor of six of my favourite sports games instead of just one. Naturally if one of those MultiBets actually paid off that would make the experience that much sweeter.

NAB Challenge A Waste Of Time?

Nab Challenge what's the point

I’ve been thinking about the NAB challenge the last couple of days and I’ve been wondering if the whole NAB Challenge is a waste of time? Why? Because, to me, it just doesn’t feel like the AFL has their heart in it. Here’s a list of reasons why I think the NAB Challenge is a waste of time.

Why The NAB Challenge Is A Waste Of Time

Matches Are Held All Over The Place: If you have a look at the NAB Challenge fixtures for 2015 you’ll notice that a lot of the matches are being held at smaller insignificant ovals rather than the mainstream ones. Some are way out in whoop-whoop. This means a lot of the time they’re not even televised. For example, do they honestly think that footy fans are going to drive all the way to Port Lincoln to see the Adelaide vs Nth Melbourne game?

I wrote about my disappointment in not being able to watch that match on TV in my Winning Bets post.

Then there’s the Showdown between Port Power and the Crows. It’s going to be held at the old AAMI Stadium. As reported in Adelaidenow they’re doing fans an injustice by holding it there.

Port Adelaide and the Crows are going back to Football Park. Surely not. No, no, no. SA football fans do not need to be sent to a concrete bowl — that has had seats ripped out — to be reminded during a hot summer day why the game is better off at Adelaide Oval.

Watered Down Teams: It doesn’t matter which football team you support I’m sure you’ve noticed that they’re not playing their best players in the NAB Challenge matches. Can you blame them when they see that the AFL doesn’t seem to give a shit. That’s the impression I get anyway.

If they’re not fielding their best players then you’re not going to get the best games are you?

For me AFL Football is all about the crowds and the mind blowing atmosphere you get when fans get behind their teams. You just don’t get that when they play at these insignificant ovals. It’s almost like going to a SANFL game.

So, can someone out there tell me, what’s the point of having the NAB Challenge?

million dollar tipping

I wrote a lot more about Sportsbet Million Dollar tipping a few months back. That post listed last years winners. What was really interesting is the guy who won the AFL Million Dollar Tipping was a NRL fan who did not know a thing about AFL Even so he entered the AFL tipping league and actually won.

So, even if you only follow the AFL why not have a punt at the NRL? It’s free and you have just as much chance of winning it as the next guy.
