AFL 2017 Preliminary Finals Results

I’m both happy and sad to present to you the AFL 2017 Preliminary Finals results. Happy that the Crows, as I wrote in my last post, Preliminary Finals Crows Clobber Cats, had a resounding win against the Cats. Sad because there is only one week of AFL left, but what a great week that is going to be because the Crows are in the finals! So, how did we go with our tipping last week? Let’s have a look at the AFL 2017 Preliminary Finals Results shall we?

AFL 2017 Preliminary Finals Results A Roaring Success

AFL 2017 Preliminary Finals ResultsFinally we have the perfect AFL tipping result for the 2017 season. :drunk: Yeah, I know there were only two teams playing, but then, a win is a win right? 😎

I know I am a Crows fan and so people are going to say my opinions on the game is a little biased, but that was a fantastic game. Sure it wasn’t as exiting as the Port Power vs West Coast game in the first week of the finals, I think I called it a cracker of a game, but it was exciting football all the same. Even the Crows lead in every quarter one can’t deny the Cats commitment to the game. They threw everything they had at the Crows but they just were not able to overcome the Crows thirst for a win.

For me the best part of that game was the Sloane / Dangerfield Clash which one site called The Clash Of The Titans.

Sloane Dangerfield Clash of the Titans
While I admit it was poor form for the Crows to boo Dangerfield as he was taken off the field you have to allow for all that adrenaline pumping through their veins in the moment.

Richmond vs GWS Giants Results

I said right at the beginning that it was going to be a Richmond vs Crows grand final. I even went so far as to put my money on it as you can see from this post. Well, I was right and that turned into another winning bet.

RICHMOND                                 4.3    5.7    11.11    15.13 (103)
GREATER WESTERN SYDNEY     3.3    5.6    6.10       9.13 (67)

As you can see it was pretty close up to half time but it was downhill for GWS from then on. It was as if they had nothing left after the break and couldn’t do a thing to stop the Tigers from flattening them.

Stay tuned for Finals Tipping Post, but until then maybe you should check out my Women’s Sport Sexy Moments post.

AFL Finals Week 2 Results 2017

The second week of the AFL finals is over and it’s now time to check out the AFL Finals Week 2 Results
2017.

AFL Finals Week 2 Results Not Finals Footy

AFL Finals Week 2 Results 2017As you can see from the image on the left Fortuna got the Geelong vs Sydney results wrong. Tell you the truth, I really expected Sydney to win that game and I’m sure a lot of punters did as well. Still, there are a whole lot of happy punters out there who are rubbing their hands with glee. Especially those you used Bet365 to place their bet as they were offering the best odds for that particular game.

Cats Upset Swans In Semi Finals

Geelong 15.8 98 ~ Sydney Swans 5.9 39

As for the game itself its not really what I call finals footy. I don’t know about you but I expect final footy to be a hard fought game with the lead seesawing between the two teams. Sort of like the West Coast vs Port Power game back in week one of the finals. That is what finals footy is all about. Not the lack luster performance the Swans put up. Sam Newman was right when he said on the Footy Show that Buddy goes missing when the pressure is on.

According to Fox Footy the best tactic of the whole game was putting Dangerfield in the goal square. I have to admit, I was saying the same thing when the game started, although I didn’t think it would work out as well as it did.

I was actually hoping that Geelong would win that game because I felt that Geelong would be easier to beat this week than the Swans. After seeing the Swans dismal effort I’m not so sure any more. Still, the Crows have had a week off and maybe the Cats mighty effort has tuckered them out somewhat.

GWS Giants Thumping Win Against West Coast Eagles

GWS Giants 19.11 125 ~ West Coast Eagles 9.4 58

Again not what I call finals footy. I don’t know about you but I got pretty bored with both games and actually watched something else once the third quarter was almost over. The ABC probably had the best write up on that game.

Grand Final Prediction

I personally think it’s going to be a Crows vs Richmond grand final with the Crows finishing on top. The Herald Sun has listed a whole lot of experts with their predictions for the Grand Finals results. What do you guys think?

I may put an extra bet when doing the Semi-Finals tips in the next post.

AFL Week One Finals Results

It’s time to have a look at the AFL week one finals results. I think the best article on the AFL week one finals results would have to be Fox Sports who give a team by team report.

AFL Week One Finals Results Rundown

Adelaide 12.12 (84) def Greater Western Sydney 6.12 (48)AFL Week One Finals Results

As a Crows supporter this was a very important game for me. A win gives them a bye so they can get ready for their next game in a fortnights time. Not to mention a home preliminary finals.

It was great to see them lead in every quarter, especially because Sloane was out of the game. The Crouch brothers certainly picked up the slack for the missing Sloane. I’m sure that the other teams are a little more worried about beating the Crows after their performance last week.

As good as the win was I would love to see their kicking accuracy improve, especially from Tex who I’m sure was disappointed in his kicking results.

Richmond 13.13 (91) def Geelong 5.10 (40)

I really expected Geelong to win this game, but alas that wasn’t to be and it was the only tip I got wrong in my week 1 preliminary finals tips. Certainly not the sort of game one would expect for finals footy. Certainly not where near as exciting as the Crows vs GWS Giants game. Geelong will have to regroup if the plan to beat Sydney next week.

As for Richmond fans, how excited are they to be in their first finals for 16 years!

Sydney 19.7 (121) def Essendon 8.8 (56)

As far as Essendon goes it was always going to be a hard ask for them to beat Sydney. Still, they can all hold their heads up high to get as far as they did considering all the crap they had to go through last year.

West Coast 12.6 (78) def Port Power 10.16 (76)

What can I say, Port lost, just as I predicted in last weeks post! The best thing about the loss was that I won my bet putting another $27.50 into my sports betting bankroll. Shit, even if they lost I still would have pocketed the money because of the Sportsbet 24 Up, You Win promotion.

As far as finals footy goes that was a cracker of a game. I don’t think anyone would disagree with that.

So, Power and Essendon are out as we go into week 2 of finals footy

Have you any thoughts on the AFL Week One Finals Results I’d love to read them in the comments below.
