Followup On Best 2015 AFL Premiership Odds

In my post AFL 2015 Premiership Odds I included a table with the odds for the 2015 AFL Premiership. That table only had the odds supplied by bet365 . Both Sportingbet and Sportsbet had not posted their odds yet. I mentioned that to a friend of mine and he said he’d already placed his bets for the 2015 final the other day using Sportsbet. I asked him if he had done it via the app and he said he did it online using his PC.

As soon as I got home I checked my apps again and again bet365 was the only one who had listed the2015 AFL Premiership odds. I then went online using my trusty MacBook Air and low and behold Sportsbet had their 2015 AFL Premiership odds up. Not so SportingBet.

Looking at the updated 2015 AFL Premiership odds it seems that Sportsbet has better odd on several of the AFL teams. Mainly, Goldcoast, Adelaide, West Coast, Carlton, Greater Western Sydney and Western Bulldogs. If you were thinking of placing a bet on any of those teams winning the finals next year then your best bet so far would be Sportsbet.

Do you remember that post I did on the Best Sports Betting App? In that post Sportsbet won the best sports betting app by a nose. Well, perhaps now that we know that bet365 updates their up a lot sooner than the other too it could tip the scales that little bit to make bet365 the winner. What do you think? Is it enough to tip the scales or do you think that the best sports betting app still belongs to Sportsbet?

Once Sportingbet publishes their figure I will do another followup post.

I don’t know about you but it’s pretty bloody boring now that the AFL season is over. There’s not much on TV these days so what is a guy supposed to do. Luckily I have this blog to keep me amused. Especially when I research those Hot Sports Babes posts. Speaking of which, have you voted for your hottest sports babe yet?

What’s really aggravating is now that the AFL is over I need to find something else to put a bet on. Problem is I don’t really know much about any other sports.  :thinkin:

Did you know that you can actually place a bet on the 2015 AFL Premiership winner? Yep, and like I’ve said before placing an early bet can get you pretty good odds. Let’s check out what our favourite sports betting sites are offering on the AFL 2015 Premiership.

What a disappointment that was. It seems that bet365 is the first one off the blocks as far as releasing the AFL 2015 premiership odds. Not to worry, it just means I’ll have to do another post at a later date when the other two catch up.

Can you imagine being a St Kilda supporter and placing ten bucks on your team and they actually won? You would have an extra $5000 to spend over Christmas. Or perhaps you could spend it on a nice holiday or put it towards that engagement ring you’ve been planning to buy.

It’s interesting that the Crows are somewhere in the middle at 26.00. I would have thought that not having a coach to get them to the AFL 2015 premiership would have put them a lot lower in the table.  :tongue_out:

It will be interesting to see how those odds change the closer we get to the AFL 2015 grand final. It will also be interesting to see how the other two site’s odds compare with bet365. Once they decide to publish them that is.  😉

Getting The Best Odds

Getting The Best Odds Means Getting In Early

getting the best oddsUsually the way to get the best odds when placing a bet online is to place your bet as early as possible. Take for example the post I did on Betting On The AFL Finals. I posted that a little over a week ago. All the odds offered on SportingBet, as well as the other online bookies, have dropped. Some by as much as 50%.

As far as I know getting the best odds usually happens the further away from the outcome of any given match. I was talking about this with a workmate of mine and he says he places several of his bets at the beginning of the AFL season. A great bloke except for the fact that he’s a Port Power fan.

Speaking of Port Power you may well remember they were last weeks bet of the week. That was actually the post where I spoke a little about the history of the Crows and Power rivalry. You may well recall that I backed Port to win, but only because lately I’ve been losing my bets and I was hoping that placing a bet on them would bring them bad luck. Nope, as it turns out the Power was really switched on in that game and they won. That was never supposed to happen. Fremantle were the favourites and it’s been ages since they lost a home game. That bet on the Power was just to seal the deal.

Still, shit happens. Just about everyone I know was tipping Freo, but like I said in that post about sports betting tips, they’re absolute bullshit. You just never ever know who’s going to win any given game. That’s why we have so many upsets in sport. One last thing before getting to my bet of the week. You may well notice the odds changing the closer you get to the game. Usually getting the best odds means placing your bets as early as possible.

Bet Of The Week

This week Port Power is playing Hawthorne at the MCG. They shouldn’t win this game. Then again they should’ve lost against Fremantle as well. I just don’t have a choice. I have to back the Power again. Maybe this time my bet come good and Port will lose.  :tongue_out: Seeing as how bet365 was lucky for me last week I’m gonna give Sportingbet a go. Maybe they will pass on some bad vibes for all those louse Port Power fans.
