So, there you have it, 6 out of the possible 9. So, where did I go wrong? I would like to point out is I’m so thankful that I follow a responsible gambling regime. If you had read my last post, you’d know I placed a multi-bet with Ladbrokes. Unfortunately, as you can see from my AFL Round 1 2018 Results, the first leg of my multi was the Essendon vs Adelaide Crows game which I got wrong.

I’m sure most punters, that is unless they’re an Essendon supporter, would have picked the Crows to win that game. So why did they lose a very winnable game? Fox Footy wrapped up the AFL round 1 2018 results with three words for each match. Those three words for Adelaide were ‘Injuries cop blame’ and for Essendon ‘A brilliant start’. Not sure you can call ‘A’ a word though  :tongue_out:

Personally, I believe the Crows just weren’t prepared for a loss. They went in half cocked and Essendon went in with all guns blazing. Sure they managed to get in front in the third quarter but as far as I’m concerned, too little too bloody late. Essendon fired ahead again and won the day. Kudos to Essendon as they were the better team.

Then there is the Gold Coast vs Nth. Melbourne game. Don’t know about that game. Perhaps if they weren’t playing in a virtual swimming pool, it would have been a different result. As it was Gold Coast was the better team getting their first ever win against Nth. Melbourne at Cazaly.

Finally, we have the Hawthorn vs Collingwood game. The Hawks dominated in that game from the start. The pies never had a chance. That’s the thing with footy, you just never know how things will pan out at the end of the day. That’s what makes the game so bloody exciting, and frustrating at the same time.
