Fortuna’s AFL Round 6 Footy Tips 2015

In case you’ve missed out last weeks AFL round 5 results you can read that post HERE. Fortuna did pretty well with her AFL footy tips getting eight out of the nine right. Who could blame her for getting Sydney wrong. I don’t think anyone saw that one coming.

Now for this weeks Fortuna’s AFL round 6 footy tips.

Fortuna’s AFL Round 6 Footy Tips 2015

Fortuna’s AFL Round 6 Footy Tips

    • Collingwood
    • North Melbourne
    • Western Bulldogs
    • Hawthorn
    • Adelaide Crows
    • Sydney Swans
    • Fremantle
    • Carlton
    • Port Adelaide

Strangely enough I completely agree with all of Fortuna’s AFL round 6 footy tips. It’s got nothing to do with AFL Multibet round 6 2015Fortuna getting more right than I did in round 5 either.  :tongue_out:

Now that I have the footy tips out of the way I’m going to fire my Sportsbet app up to place this weeks MultiBet. Hopefully I’ll have a bit more luck this week and there won’t be any upsets like the Sydney vs Western Bulldogs game last week.

For my AFL MultiBet this week I’ve decided to back the following teams;

  • Western Bulldogs 1.38
  • Sydney 1.16
  • Fremantle1.25
  • Hawthorn 1.28
  • Adelaide Crows 1.15
  • Carlton 1.28

You can see from the image on the left that I actually have placed those bets. I’m hoping this bet actually comes through as it will make it my first MultiBet win.

As you can see the odd on the individual teams are pretty low so the most I could win if I placed a single $10 bet would be $13.80 by backing Western Bulldogs. If my MultiBet comes through I will win $22.58 which is a whole lot better. Heck, if I get cold feet during one of the games I may even Cash Out and take my accumulated winnings up to that point. I copied this from the SportsBet Blog about their latest Cash Out King.

Our Cash Out King definitely pulled out at the right time on the weekend. He had a $10 win-draw-win multi on the 10 EPL matches of round 35.

He picked the 8 winners on Saturday’s night matches, including Sunderland to defeat Southampton at $4 and West Brom to defeat Man Utd at $9.

His ninth leg was Tottenham to defeat Man City ($3.60) at White Hart Lane. With so much riding on this selection, our Cash Out King got cold feet and decided to pull the pin on his mammoth multi. What a great call!

He cashed our for $9.5k and Tottenham were beaten by Man City 0-1 after Sergio Aguero’s eight yard strike on 29 minutes.

The last leg requires Arsenal to defeat Hull ($1.61), which is yet to be decided. Regardless of the outcome, this lucky punter would have walked away with jack squat if it wasn’t for his choice to Cash Out and pocket $9,492!

Man, I wish I was that lucky, but then my odds were nowhere near as good.

Have you placed your MultiBet yet.

Fortuna’s AFL Footy Tips Round 5 2015

Those of you who are my regulars know that Fortuna is our Lady Luck Of Sports. I had a char with her the other day and we decided to put her talents to the test. Starting from today we’re going to run a weekly Fortuna’s AFL Footy Tips. Too bad I didn’t think to have this chat with Fortuna earlier. Not to worry, starting on round five is better than hot having a Fortuna’s AFL Footy Tips at all.

Fortuna’s AFL Footy Tips 2015 Round 5

Fortuna's AFL Footy Tips round 5 2015

  • Collingwod
  • Richmond
  • Sydney
  • Brisbane
  • Hawthorn
  • West Coast
  • Fremantle
  • Essendon
  • Adelaide

You’re probably wondering why three of the round 5 2015 AFL Footy Tips are red. It’s because no matter how much I argued with Fortuna about her picks she would not budge. Typical bloody woman.  :tongue_out:

OK, now that we have that out of the way I thought I may as well put Fortuna’s AFL Footy Tips to good use by placing a MultiBet with Sportsbet

Placing a MultiBet with Sportsbet is so easy when using their SportsBet App. All I had to do was to tap each of the teams that I wanted to put a bet on. That put them into my Bet Slip. Once I made my selection I placed a dollar on each of the six teams I chose to back. Keeping with my responsible gambling promise of not betting more than $10 a week that left me four bucks. I clicked on the section that combined all 6 bets into a MultiBet and used the remaining $4 as my MultiBet.

The teams I backed, and their odds, for my MultiBet were;

  • Sydney: 1.16
  • Hawthorn: 1.35
  • West Coast: 1.64
  • Fremantle: 1.19
  • Essendon: 1.16
  • Adelaide: 2.30 Yeah, It will be close but I really think Adelaide can win Showdown 38.

By using the formula I wrote about in my What Is A MultiBet post my MultiBet odds for that bet is $8.08. If all MultiBet teams win I’ll win $8.15 x 4 = $32.61. Adding the individual winning bets of $8.80 will bring my total winnings to $41.41

The question now is whether or not I will use SportsBet Cash Out feature before Showdown 38  :thinkin:

What Is A MultiBet

A couple of posts ago I wrote about a guy who won $42 thousand with Sportsbet. He did this by cashing outwhat is a multibet early on a MultiBet. Had he let the MultiBet play its course he would have lost the whole thing as the last two games ended in a draw. Even though I wrote that post I had so many questions about MultiBets that required an answer. What is a MultiBet? How exactly does a MultiBet work? Is it easy to place a MultiBet? More importantly are MultiBets worth the effort.

What you see on the right is the MultiBet I placed just after using my freebie ‘bonus bet’ from Sportsbet. You can see my first bet on the right. As to what is a MultiBet, that’s really not as hard as it sounds.

What Is A MultiBet?

Simply put a MultiBet is when you lump several of your single bets together. The reason for a MultiBet is to increase your odds. As you know the better the odds the more you stand to win. Let’s look at my bets on the right to see what I could’ve won.

  1. Essendon  $1.42
  2. Greater Western Sydney $1.41
  3. Hawthorn $1.57
  4. Fremantle $1.60
  5. West Coast $1.45
  6. Adelaide Crows $1.26

By combining all those bets together I’ve now increased my odds to $9.19. I got that figure by multiplying each of the bets together. That’s 1.42 x 1.41 x 1.57 x 1.60 x 1.45 x 1.26 = $9.19. Had all bets won my $4 MultiBet would have netted me $36.75! The reason I only placed a $4 bet was to keep within my responsible gambling guidelines which is to not spend more than $10 per week on my sports bets, having already placed a dollar on each of those bets.

Even if I had placed $2 on each bet individually and they all won I would only have won $18. That’s why MultiBets are so much better.

The problem is if any one of the bets loses then you lose your MultiBet. That’s what makes being able to cash out on a MultiBet so popular. That’s why that guy was able to win $42 thousand instead of losing the lot.

Unfortunately for me I backed Essendon to beat Collingwood and they lost. Shit who would of thought that would happen? Because my first bet lost I didn’t have a chance to cash out. Oh well, shit happens right?

The good thing is it wasn’t a total loss because each of the winning bets still paid off so out of my $10 wager I still managed to win $4.46!

Now that you know how a MultiBet works you probably want to know how easy it is to place a MultiBet online. I reckon I will leave that for the next post. Not only will I give you a step by step rundown on how to place a MultiBet I’ll also divulge why I’m thinking of doing more MultiBets in future,
