AFL 2017 Preliminary Finals Results

I’m both happy and sad to present to you the AFL 2017 Preliminary Finals results. Happy that the Crows, as I wrote in my last post, Preliminary Finals Crows Clobber Cats, had a resounding win against the Cats. Sad because there is only one week of AFL left, but what a great week that is going to be because the Crows are in the finals! So, how did we go with our tipping last week? Let’s have a look at the AFL 2017 Preliminary Finals Results shall we?

AFL 2017 Preliminary Finals Results A Roaring Success

AFL 2017 Preliminary Finals ResultsFinally we have the perfect AFL tipping result for the 2017 season. :drunk: Yeah, I know there were only two teams playing, but then, a win is a win right? ūüėé

I know I am a Crows fan and so people are going to say my opinions on the game is a little biased, but that was a fantastic game. Sure it wasn’t as exiting as the Port Power vs West Coast game in the first week of the finals, I think I called it a cracker of a game, but it was exciting football all the same. Even the Crows lead in every quarter one can’t deny the Cats commitment to the game. They threw everything they had at the Crows but they just were not able to overcome the Crows thirst for a win.

For me the best part of that game was the Sloane / Dangerfield Clash which one site called The Clash Of The Titans.

Sloane Dangerfield Clash of the Titans
While I admit it was poor form for the Crows to boo Dangerfield as he was taken off the field you have to allow for all that adrenaline pumping through their veins in the moment.

Richmond vs GWS Giants Results

I said right at the beginning that it was going to be a Richmond vs Crows grand final. I even went so far as to put my money on it as you can see from this post. Well, I was right and that turned into another winning bet.

RICHMOND                                 4.3    5.7    11.11    15.13 (103)
GREATER WESTERN SYDNEY     3.3    5.6    6.10       9.13 (67)

As you can see it was pretty close up to half time but it was downhill for GWS from then on. It was as if they had nothing left after the break and couldn’t do a thing to stop the Tigers from flattening them.

Stay tuned for Finals Tipping Post, but until then maybe you should check out my Women’s Sport Sexy Moments post.

Fortuna’s AFL Preliminary Finals Results

As you know from last weeks post Fortuna played it safe with her AFL preliminary finals tipping. If you were one of the punters that chased the odds and went for either Hawthorn or North Melbourne you would have lucked out. As for me I decided to follow Fortuna’s AFL preliminary finals tips which resulted in two winning bets!

AFL Preliminary Finals Results

My main bet was obviously on the Hawks to beat Fremantle and my $10 bet with Sportsbet paid $15.90. Not my best winnings but not the worse either. Still, anything greater than a 50% return is pretty good in my books.

Then there was my $1 bet with¬†William Hill¬†which paid $1.85 which is an 85% increase. Some of you out there would say I would have been better off betting larger amounts of money but as I’ve said on more than one occasion, considering my financial status, that wouldn’t be responsible betting. If you want to enjoy you’re online sports betting then you should never, ever, bet more than you can afford to lose.

As for the actual scores for the AFL preliminary Finals Hawthorn 15 Goals 4 points (96) beating Fremantle 10 goals 7 points (67). Although Fremantle started off well in the first quarter it was only a momentary lapse on the Hawks side and it wasn’t long before they showed Fremantle who was boss.

As for the other AFL Preliminary finals match West Coast was just too classy for Nth. Melbourne scoring 10 goals 20 points (80) against Nth. Melbourne’s 7 goals 13 points (55)

Both games were pretty good to watch and as those punters who bet on matches for the enjoyment factor will tell you their small wager made them that much more exciting to watch.

I reckon the Age had a pretty good writeup on the Hawthorn, Fremantle game.

Looks like the AFL Grand Final for 2015 will be between West Coast and Hawthorn. I’m wondering what Fortuna’s picks for that game will be. I only hope that it turns out to be a really exciting game because that’s what we expect in a AFL Grand Final!

AFL Preliminary Finals Tips

As we head towards the AFL Preliminary finals lets not lose sight of what the finals is all about. For the supporters the most important thing is that their team wins. The closer we get to the finals the amount of disappointed supporters grow. For those that remain the excitement and trepidations builds the closer we get to those finals.

This weeks AFL preliminary finals is between the four remaining teams which we will see in Fortuna’s AFL preliminary finals tips below. The goal for punters is to ensure they put their money on the right teams. For the players themselves, the most important thing is to win that Grand Finals Cup. To do that they have two major battles left to overcome.

This weeks battles are between;

  • Fremantle vs Hawthorn
  • West Coast vs Nth. Melbourne

Once again it looks like Fortuna is playing it safe. We all know though that in the AFL, or any sport for that matter, playing it safe doesn’t always work. This is why responsible gambling is so important. Before placing my bet I need to take a look at what odds are available.

Like Fortuna I’m going to play it safe. I know that upsets happen in sport but thats why I only bet what I can afford to lose. Now we need to look at three of the best online sports betting sites so we can place our bet,

  1. Bet365 is always a good bet because their app makes betting so easy to use. Also, their unique sliding scale feature for cashing out is pretty cool. The sliding cash out feature allows you to choose how much you want to cash out which is great when you’re not sure whether or not you want to cash out at all.
  2. Sportsbet is a favourite of many Aussies. They also have a cash out feature. Sportsbet offer a lot of sports betting deals and is home to the ever popular Million Dollar Tipping competition. This post shows how you can actually win as long as you get the closest margin!
  3. Formally SportingBet now William Hill is one of the most renowned online sports betting sites. I’m just hanging out for the day they introduce a cash out feature. William Hill also has a brand new app which looks really good.

As always I have proof of my online bet and this week I placed it with¬†Sportsbet¬†because they’re offering the best odds on Hawthorn. Then theres always their¬†special offer¬†which refunds any losing bet, up to $100, as long as your team is leading in on of the four quarters.

Go the Hawks!  :tongue_out:
