If you’re like me you love your sports. That means when you can’t get to go to a game you love to sit back and watch it on TV. The problem is that there are times when this just isn’t possible. Perhaps it’s not offered live on your free to air TV. Perhaps your paid TV option isn’t showing it. Shit, you may even be away from home. That’s when True Streaming comes into play.

At least that was what I thought. I then found out that True Stream was a VOD (video-on-demand) service. However, apparently it does have a huge library of sports translations to stream and download.

As a True Stream member you will have unlimited access to all content, ads free! It’s also compatible with any device. You also get a 5 days free trial. If you’re happy with the service you can continue past the 5 day free trial but doing that means you accept the monthly fee. You can cancel at any time.

I’m always up for a free trial so I decided to give it a go. Unfortunately, Australia is not one of the accepted countries for True Stream. Maybe you’ll have more luck than I did. Here is a list of countries where True Stream is offered.

Scorecasting a book to help the sports punter

The more you learn about how sports work the more likely you’re going to increase your winning bets over your losing bets. This is why I’ve introduced the Sports Betting Reviews category.

This weeks review is about a book by Tobias Moskowitz called Scorecasting: The Hidden Influences Behind How Sports Are Played and Games Are Won. We’ve all heard about the ‘home advantage’. Amongst other things the authors look  at the ‘home advantage’ factor. Is it because of travelling fatigue of visiting teams? Perhaps referees / umpires are affected by the crowd.

For an in depth review the New York Times has one titled Game Theory.
Naturally the reviews that matters most are the ones from people who have actually purchased the book. That’s why I love Amazon. You get to read real reviews from real people who don’t have anything to gain by writing their reviews. What Scorecaster seems to offer is a really good read. Everyone knows more will sink in when you’re enjoying what your reading. Boring books about facts and figures are harder to absorb. Scorecaster seems to have the entertainment factor necessary for making a good read.

Sharp Sports Betting A Book Review

Amazon Review Of Sharp Sports Betting

As I mentioned in the last book review, Changing The Game, I don’t have the resources or the time to physically purchase every book reviewed on this blog. Having said that, if you have a book you would like me to review I’ll be happy to do so 😉 This is why I purchased a tool that will pull customers straight from the Amazons online store. While this post is about the paperback version you can save quite a few dollars by getting the Sharp Sports Betting Kindle edition.

After reading some of the reviews I noticed that while Sharp Sports Betting is mainly about the NFL (America’s National Football League) the author does explain how the methods he talks about can be used on other sports.

What I did get from some of the reviews is that this book is not really meant for the sports betting experts. It’s probably more suited for the sports betting beginner who wants to learn all the ins and outs of sports betting.

As I’ve mentioned before I’m more into the fun side of sports betting. I usually will only bet on those sports that I know I’m going to watch as the small wagers I place help to increase the enjoyment factor of watching the game.

I know that there are some of you out there though that may want to take your sports betting a little further and I’ve often found the best way to do that is through the printed media. I still classify the Kindle version as “printed media” it’s just in another easy to read format. This allows you to take notes and is always at hand for easy reference.
