Everything to do with sports betting from responsible gambling to bet of the week

Top Online Sports Betting Sites

Have you ever wondered about the top online sports betting sites? I know a lot of people out there are because ‘top online sports betting sites’ is a popular search term used to find this site. There are probably a lot of sports betting sites out there, some are good and some probably not so good.

When starting this site finding those top online sports betting sites was very important to me. It’s only when they pass certain criteria that I represent them on EZeSportsBetting.com.

Top Online Sports Betting Sites Criteria

  • Longevity: Before I become affiliated with any of the so called top online sports betting sites that I examine they need to have been around for a lot of years. I will not represent any online sports betting sites that hasn’t been around for a long time because you just never know whether or not they’re going to fold up.
  • Ease Of Use: I hate sites that are confusing to navigate. Online sports betting should be enjoyable. That just can’t happen if you can’t work out how to place your bet online.
  • Mobile App: When I started this site I had no idea that top online sports betting apps existed. Since joining two of what I believe to be the top online sports betting sites, namely Sportsbetbet365 and William Hill, I found how simple placing an online sporting bet truly is using a mobile app. I can honestly say that I wouldn’t join any online sporting site unless they had a sports betting app. An online sports betting app means you can place a bet no matter where you are.
  • Easy To Deposit Money: The last thing you want is having hassles depositing money into your online betting account so that you can place a bet. The best online sports betting sites offer customers several ways for them to deposit into their accounts. My favourite ways to deposit money include PayPal, NETELLER and Skrill. As long as it offers at least one of those and meets the other criteria then you’re good to go. Most top online sports betting sites will offer more payment options than the ones listed.

Personally, I believe you should join more than just one online sports betting site. I have two main reasons for doing this. The first is you never know when one of those will go offline for whatever reason. If this ever happens you have the other one to fall back to. The second one is so you can compare the odds offered by the different sports betting sites so you can get the best odds available.

Sports Betting Strategy Gone Wrong

Man, what a shit weekend that turned out to be as far as my sports betting strategy went. In my defence I didn’t really have a sports betting strategy when placing my sports bets online. Except for one game I bet on all long shots. If you recall my Bet365 Free Bet Update post I included the 5 bets I placed for my bet of the week. I know it was a lot more than I normally place on sports bets but that post explains the reason for that.

Unfortunately all those bets turned out to be losing bets but the only one that really pissed me off was the Adelaide

Crows vs North Melbourne Betting Strategy

betting strategy

Like I was saying at the beginning of the post I didn’t really have a betting strategy. I reckon if I did I would have done a whole lot better. Problem is, and I’m being totally honest here, I don’t believe I’ll ever have a betting strategy. The reason being because that means doing a whole lot of research. Research means work and I do enough of that as it is. I want my sports betting to be work free and that means placing sports bets by the seat of my pants. So far, apart from last week, I’ve been holding my own.

I watched the Crows / North Melbourne game with my son Frank. I could see he wasn’t enjoying the game. I know I was. I mean it was a really close game, the lead changing at least 6 times. I asked him why and he said there wasn’t any really good tackles or screamers or anything. I reckon the reason I got more of a kick out of it was because I had placed a sports bet on the game. That made the game that much more exiting.

The reason I’m pissed about the result was because the Crows could have won that game. They didn’t because of all the stupid and careless mistakes they had made inside North Melbourne’s 50 metres. Shit! They virtually gave away at least 5 goals from careless mistakes. When you consider they only lost by 10 points those dumb ass mistakes cost them the game.

So, tell me guys! Am I the only one that thinks the Crows should have one that game?

Aslo, in regards to a sports betting strategy. Do any of you guys have one? If you do, perhaps you’d like to share some of it with the rest of us.

Sports Betting Budget To Keep You Out Of Trouble

I mentioned having a sports betting budget in a few of my posts. I’ve even mentioned how Bet365 has a great feature which helps you to maintain your sports betting budget. That post was simply called Bet365. It spoke of a great little feature that bet365 offers it’s members. As a member you can specify how much money you’re allowed to deposit per week. So if you have a $40 per month sports betting budget you just set it for $10 a week.

A Sports Betting Budget Is Important

A sports betting budget is important for all responsible gamblers. Not having one could get you into strife. The sort of strife I talked about in my problem gamblers post. Remember, when placing any sports bet you never bet more than you can afford to lose. This is very important, Doing otherwise will only wreck your favourite sports telecast rather than enhance it. Having a sports betting budget will ensure you never make that mistake. You can blow the whole budget on bet if you think it’s a sure thing. But, if you lose you have to wait until your next budget period kicks in.

sports betting budgetA sports better must never, ever put his livelihood or his family’s livelihood at risk by betting more than he can afford to lose. When your budget is spread so thin that you can’t afford to to have a sports betting budget there is only two things you can do. The first it you simply do not place a bet until your financial situation changes. The second is to change your financial situation by finding enough savings to have a small sports betting budget.

When finding savings, a responsible gambler would not look at any cost cuttings that would affect his loved ones. Any savings should only come from cost cutting measures that affect him alone. So, what savings measure are open to you.

  • Smokers can easily find the most savings. Simply cutting back on one carton of smokes a week can easily support a nice sports betting budget. Cut back by more than a pack a week and you find even more saving. Quit altogether and you will never look back. Not only will you have your sports betting budget you’ll also improve your health and pay your mortgage off a lot quicker. Your family will thank you for it.
  • Lunches: If you’re one to buy your lunch at work, taking a cut lunch with you a few times week will easily save you enough money, with some to spare.
  • Doing your own home maintenance can also save a lot of cash. Fix those leaking taps yourself instead of calling a plumber. Cut your own lawns and maintain your gardens instead of paying someone else to do it.

Most of these measures, well maybe not so much the last one, will have an instant money saving effect. There are other measures that may save money over time but I’m not sure I’d want to wait that long. Having said that you should always strive to save money whenever you can because that extra cash can always be used as savings for those times when an emergency comes your way.

Can you think of any other cost savings measure that you could use.
