AFL Round 22 2017 Results

As the AFL gets closer to the finals our roller coaster tipping ride continues as Fortuna sees her AFL round 22 2017 results nearing the apex of the ride. Still not good enough to get all her tips right Fortuna’s AFL round 22 2017 results show she only got two wrong.

Fortuna’s AFL Round 22 2017Unfortunately for me I put money on the Crows and they let a perfectly winnable game slip through their fingers. That was the first of the two wrong tips for the Fortuna’s AFL Round 22 2017 results, the second being the Carlton vs Brisbane game.

For me though, as far as the AFL Round 22 2017 results go, the Crows losing to Sydney was by far the bigger loss. That has nothing to do with me losing my bet either. It’s all to do with the fact that the Crows should have won that game. Let’s have a look at what some of the experts had to say about that game.

The Guardian called that particular game a thriller and it would have been more than that for Sydney fans. They did point out,

“The scoreline tells it all, the Crows having every chance to win this but throwing it away with their kicking. Through the second half the home side controlled the ball out of the guts, but Sydney are the best defence in the comp for a reason. In the end, the losing side won the inside 50s by a margin of 62 to 42. Remarkable.”

The Advertiser had this to say about the Crows performance, “The Crows finished with 51 more disposals, 21 more contested possessions and 21 more inside 50s than the Swans but still lost.

This was partly due to poor conversion, with Sydney kicking 13.5 to 11.14 as Adelaide butchered opportunities in front of the sticks.”

Yes, the Crows kicked an awful lot of points in that game, and if only one of them was a goal the result of that game would have been entirely different.

The result would also have been different if the umpires didn’t stuff up awarding a 50m penalty against Eddie Betts.

Umps Got It Wrong On 50m Penalty

That’s what the AFL had to say about the crappy umpire call in the dying minutes of the game. A call that definitely cost them the game. But that aside, we all know that what really cost them the game was their poor kicking.

On the bright side, that game showed that the Crows have it in them to win against the Swans. Hopefully the next time they come up against the Swans they come out of it victorious.

The AFL round 19 2017 results are in, and whilst it still falls short of the round 18 results, it was still better. What pisses me off about the AFL round 19 2017 results, which you can see below,

As you know I always enter Sportsbet’s Million Dollar Tipping competition so I have a chance at winning $5,000. Well, it sort of sucks all the excitement out of it when you get the first of your tips wrong.

I don’t know about you but I call that first round of the AFL round 19 results an upset. Sure as hell didn’t think that Hawthorn would put off a win. But win they did. Not by much mind you, but a win is a win and the ABC reckon it keeps Hawthorn finals hopes alive. I don’t know if I would go that far because they’ve been all over the place this season.

Then there was the embarrassing moment when Port Power supporters gave up on their club and started leaving the grounds early. As Michelangelo Rucci stated, ‘You should always stay until the end of the siren’. Wankers, they missed the best part of the whole game, coming off with a win.

And then there was that insane Collingwood vs Adelaide Crows game. Collingwood is now the eighth team to lose a game after leading by 50 points in the third quarter. Oh well, at least Sportsbet punters who backed Collingwood came off with a win. I’m talking about their promotion where you automatically win when your team leads by 24 points, even if they lose. How cool is that?

It’s good to see the Crows on top of the ladder. Hopefully they can maintain that position giving them a good shot at the finals.

Last week was a losing bet week for me. I’m hoping I can turn that around in round 20.

AFL Round 18 2017 Results

Man, I was so looking forward to a great week of AFL tipping. As you can see below, the AFL round 18 2017 results started off OK until the Melbourne vs Port Power game.

Trust Port Power to be the first one to screw things up for us. That was definitely a game they should have won but unfortunately they were asleep the first half. It wasn’t until the second half that someone decided to flip the switch to turn the power on, but by then it was way too bloody late.

As you can see from this article it was all about the Demons! The Power hardly got a mention until nearly the end of the article, but then when you play like shit, that’s all you deserve.

At least the Crows played like this was the win they had to have. They’ve finally broken the 14 year old hoodoo I spoke about in a previous post. Pyke spoke about the fierce contest but I’m sure everyone who watched that match saw how brilliantly the Crows stood up against the Cats! The Cats threw everything at them and were always in their faces but the Crows finally stood up the them and gave better than what they got.

And what about Sloane? Was he a bloody marvel or what? Lets hope he can keep it up.

Too bad we will lose Betts in the Collingwood clash due to having his appendix removed but fingers crossed that he will be back in the next Showdown.

See what the Roar had to say about the Richmond vs GWS Giants game. They figured it was going to be a close game and that Richmond should win. Looks like they were right.

The Collingwood vs West Coast was always going to be a close game, but it was still one that I thought West Coast could win. Unfortunately it wasn’t to be. Check out what Nine WWOS thought of that game.

As for the Carlton and Brisbane game? Read how Brisbane managed to hold off the late Carlton comeback?

The AFL round 18 2017 results just goes to show why teams have to play four quarters of footy if they expect to play finals.

How did you go with your AFL round 18 2017 results?

As far as the betting goes, you’ll notice from my last post that the Sportsbet wager turned out to be a winner whereas the William Hill one didn’t.
