Brenton Sanderson Sacked! A Crow Fan Perspective

Brenton Sanderson sacked! You have to be kidding me. I couldn’t believe it when I found out they sacked Brenton Sanderson. Sure, the Crows haven’t been performing well but I felt they were getting better. Personally I don’t believe they gave Sanderson a fair go. The least they could do was let him finish his contract. Who knows, maybe next year would have been the year that Sanderson got the Crows to the grand final. Now we’ll never know.

When you think about it the Crows were Sanderson’s first team as a coach. I don’t think anyone would argue that the Crows Sanderson inherited was a struggling team. He also had to put up with the Kurt Tippet saga which I’m sure hurt the Crows more than anyone will admit.

I admit that I don’t know all the ins and outs of what it is to be a good coach. I’m also not privy to all the information the Crows board has available to them. I’m just worried about them sacking Sanderson without any warning whatever. It just doesn’t seem fair. One would have thought that it would be so much more productive to sit down with him first. Work out the negatives and positives to this season. That last showdown being a great positive.

Who knows, maybe sitting around the boardroom table they would have been able to come up with a winning plan. One that would have gotten the Crows into finals contention.

Now what do we have. Not a damn thing. You would have thought they would have secured another coach before sacking the one that we had. Who knows who will be the Crows next coach. How much experience will he have? Will the players take to him. I bloody well hope so. The last thing we want is a coach the players aren’t happy with. There certainly won’t be any joy there for Crows fans.

Sanderson Not A Happy Man

Sanderson sacked

Hopefully none of our key players will decide to desert after hearing that Sanderson was sacked. I’m sure some of the players won’t be happy with the way he was turfed out.

Who do you think the Crows will secure for their latest coach? Who would you like to coach the Crows next year? Just leave a comment. I’d love to hear from you.

Blonde Sports Joke

It’s been awhile since my last sports joke so I figured it was about time for another one. Knowing how popular blonde jokes are I thought I’d make this one a blonde sports joke orientated post.

Blonde Sports Joke The Blonde Counsellor

A blonde began a job as an elementary school counsellor and she was eager to help. One day during recess she noticed a girl standing by herself on one side of a playing field while the rest of the kids enjoyed a game of soccer at the other.

The blonde approached and asked if she was all right.

The girl said she was.

A little while later, however, Sandy noticed the girl was in the same spot, still by herself. Approaching again, Sandy offered, “Would you like me to be your friend?”

The girl hesitated, then said, “Okay,” looking at the woman suspiciously.

Feeling she was making progress, the blonde then asked, “Why are you standing here all alone?”

“Because,” the little girl said with great exasperation, “I’m the goalie!”  :soccer:

Victoria’s Blonde Sports Joke

In one of my previous sports jokes posts I introduced you to one of Sexy Sal’s blonde jokes. I love Sexy Sal’s blonde jokes but Sexy Sal belongs to WassupBlog. I think it’s only appropriate that EZ eSports Betting deserves it’s very own Sexy Sports Comedian. I looked high and low for a sexy sports mascot that would fit the bill and I finally found her.

She’s Victoria and she was named after the Roman Goddess of the same name. Even though the Goddess Victoria was more a symbol of victory over death determining who would be successful during a war I have named her the Goddess Of Sports

Our Victoria also has a love for sports and loves it when her teams are victorious. She also has a great sense of humour and loves to tell a good joke. Today is Victoria’s debut on ezesportsbetting.com, and keeping with the theme of this post it just happens to be a blonde sports joke.

I couldn’t find any blonde sports jokes on YouTube but I did manage to find a sports related video that I know you will enjoy. Heck, you may even see a blonde or two in there  :tongue_out: It’s called…

Getting The Best Odds

Getting The Best Odds Means Getting In Early

getting the best oddsUsually the way to get the best odds when placing a bet online is to place your bet as early as possible. Take for example the post I did on Betting On The AFL Finals. I posted that a little over a week ago. All the odds offered on SportingBet, as well as the other online bookies, have dropped. Some by as much as 50%.

As far as I know getting the best odds usually happens the further away from the outcome of any given match. I was talking about this with a workmate of mine and he says he places several of his bets at the beginning of the AFL season. A great bloke except for the fact that he’s a Port Power fan.

Speaking of Port Power you may well remember they were last weeks bet of the week. That was actually the post where I spoke a little about the history of the Crows and Power rivalry. You may well recall that I backed Port to win, but only because lately I’ve been losing my bets and I was hoping that placing a bet on them would bring them bad luck. Nope, as it turns out the Power was really switched on in that game and they won. That was never supposed to happen. Fremantle were the favourites and it’s been ages since they lost a home game. That bet on the Power was just to seal the deal.

Still, shit happens. Just about everyone I know was tipping Freo, but like I said in that post about sports betting tips, they’re absolute bullshit. You just never ever know who’s going to win any given game. That’s why we have so many upsets in sport. One last thing before getting to my bet of the week. You may well notice the odds changing the closer you get to the game. Usually getting the best odds means placing your bets as early as possible.

Bet Of The Week

This week Port Power is playing Hawthorne at the MCG. They shouldn’t win this game. Then again they should’ve lost against Fremantle as well. I just don’t have a choice. I have to back the Power again. Maybe this time my bet come good and Port will lose.  :tongue_out: Seeing as how bet365 was lucky for me last week I’m gonna give Sportingbet a go. Maybe they will pass on some bad vibes for all those louse Port Power fans.
