Adelaide United vs Melbourne Victory Results

Adelaide United vs Melbourne Victory Results

You know I really should listen to Fortuna, our Lady Luck of sports. Even though she warned me against betting on the Adelaide United vs Melbourne Victory game I went against her advice and laid a bet. I thought that by covering my bets I thought for sure that would secure me a win. Reading that post will explain exactly how I placed my wagers on that game.

Adelaide United vs Melbourne Victory 2-2

As it turns out the Adelaide United vs Melbourne Victory match resulted in a 2-2 tie. What a pain in the ass because that turned what I thought was a winning bet into a losing bet.

One thing for sure though was it was one hell of an exciting game. As much as I wanted Adelaide United to win, right near the end there I was hoping someone would score a goal. Shit, I didn’t even care if it was Melbourne Victory that scored the goal. What’s that? I’m not being a loyal fan? Heck, before I used to bet on soccer games I never even used to watch them. It’s not like it’s the AFL and I was hoping the Crows would lose or anything.  :tongue_out:

As you know whenever Adelaide United vs Melbourne Victory Results it always results in an exciting game. This one was no different. As far as I’m concerned Adelaide was the better team. They controlled the game most of the time and really should have converted more but that wasn’t to be. I’m not sure of the exact number but I reckon Adelaide United had at least 16 corners. One would have thought they should have converted some of them into goals but that wasn’t to be.

My goal of the match goes to Pablo Sanchez. As you can see from the video below the gameplay resulted in Sanchez securing a perfectly executed header that resulted in a goal. Even though the video shows the goal and resulting aftermath that caused a lot of Adelaide supporters, my son being one of them, to be showered in a beer bath. Personally I thought it a waste of good beer but whatever turns you on, right? 😉

What the video doesn’t show is the gameplay after the ball was thrown in until Sergio Cirio was able to chip a cross to the back post where Sanchez literally soared above Victory centre back Matthieu Delpierre to nod home the equaliser from close range. Did you watch the game on Foxtel or were you lucky enough to be physically there. Either way, what did you think of the latest Adelaide United vs Melbourne Victory clash?

Who Will Win Big Bash League Final

Once again I should have listened to Lady Luck! You may remember my post on Betting On The Twenty20 where  I went against here advice and bet on the Adelaide Strikers to win the finals? Well I should have listened to her because once again she was right. (Read the post on Lady Luck to learn how to follow her advice)

I had to attend a wedding that day so I missed out on all the action. As it turns out though I didn’t miss out on all that much as, according to the ABC, Sydney Sixers Stun Adelaide Strikers To Reach Big Bash League Final. Apparently the Adelaide Strikers were pretty dismal going all out for just 94. Man, that is pretty shithouse for a team that was doing so well in the season being on the top of the ladder for so long.

I checked my Sportsbet account to check my losing bet only to find that it was still pending. I reckon that’s because the finals isn’t over yet and they’re waiting for its completion. Whatever the Big Bash League Final outcome I know for a fact that mine was a losing bet.  :pull_hair:

At least the Adelaide Strikers website was able to come up with some positives including the record crowds and the fact that the Strikers had the biggest fan base. Too babd they weren’t able to please that fan base by a least giving them a decent game to watch.

And The Big Bash League Finals Winner Is…..

Naturally the big question is who will win the Big Bash League Finals. That’s what all the punters would love to know. What we do know is that it’s between the Sydney Sixers and the Perth Scorchers. Once again I asked Lady  Luck as to whether or not I ahould place a bet. She pointed to Centrebet this time and as I’m not a Centrebet member Fortuna is telling me I should not be placing a bet.

Big Bash League Final

As you can see from the image above, once again, I’ve gone against Lady Lucks advice and placed a bet on the Perth Scorchers to win. Why the Perth Scorchers? Basically because after what the Sydney Sixers did to the Adelaide Strikers I’m willing them to lose.  :tongue_out:

Why bet at all? Because I’m a responsible gambler and I only bet what I can afford to lose. I haven’t been betting every week so I have extra in my sports betting account. Not to mention the small wins that I have had 😉 And most importantly, because I don’t have a wedding on and I’m planning to watch this game and that small bet will make it that much more exciting to watch.

As to who will win the Big Bash League Final? I reckon we will have to wait for the end of the match to find out.  As to when is the Big Bash Final. The answer is on Wednesday the 28th January in Sydney. Sydney reckon they have one big advantage on the Perth Scorchers, that being the home advantage. But, just remember it didn’t do Adelaide Strikers any bloody good now, did it?

Whoever you place your bet on I wish you the best of luck.

When Bets Go Wrong

The thing with betting on sports is that bets go wrong. When placing a bet on any sport you can never truly know the outcome. You always hope for a win but if lady luck is against you, there’s nothing you can do about it bets go wrong.

That happened to me when I bet on last nights Adelaide United vs Brisbane Roar game. It’s my fault really. I should have listened to Lady Luck. If I Listened to Lady Luck I wouldn’t have placed that bet and I would have had that extra bit of money in my betting portfolio.

Bets Go Wrong When You Don’t Listen To Lady Luck

bets go wrong

Yep, it looks like Fortuna, out very own Lady luck, chalks up another right prediction. Not sure how Lady Luck works? not to worry, this post will explain it all?

If you read yesterday’s post you’ll notice how I asked Fortuna as to whether or not I should place that bet and she said it would be a bad deal. I didn’t listen though because I thought for sure that Adelaide United would beat Brisbane Roar. Unfortunately it didn’t turn out the way I expected. Like I said at the beginning. Bets go wrong and that one went wrong big time.

If you read that post I placed an $8 bet on them to  win, a buck on them to score 2-0 and a buck on them scoring 3-0. I could see things starting to go wrong when Henrique kicked the one and only winning goal. That meant that I lost two of the three bets. Not to worry, I thought, Adelaide will score a couple of goals soon. Nope, it wasn’t to be.

I don’t know where their heads were at but it certainly wasn’t on the game.

Head on over to Adelaide United’s website if you want a complete rundown on how the game went.
